This tutorial shows you step-by-step how to make a hand-tooled leather concho with a real turquoise cabochon, Western style. You will be able to expand your product range with another high demand item. This concho is made in a hatband size, but you can use it as a decoration for a belt, a clutch, a bag or something else.
Tutorial is for the whole process: cutting and shaping the layers, tooling the pattern, setting the stone, coloring, painting the details and mounting the finished concho. Initially it was made with just 2 layers but then I've found out the thickness was insufficient. So I've added 1 more layer.
This concho was designed as the centrepiece of my Western hatband. If you'd like to make the whole set, the hatband tutorial is here: https://gemsplusleather.company.site/products/tuto...
