Pattern and tutorial with photos for beaded butterfly - Artisan jewelry schema - Peyote and herringbone butterfly

This mysterious butterfly can be used for different projects, mine was made for the necklace you see on the picture but you could make bracelets, hairbands or barrettes, brooches or anything else. The size of the butterfly I've got with 11/0 beads is ~3 1/4" (8.5 cm) in widest place and 3' (7.5 cm) from top to bottom. This project consumes 3 colors only. You can combine and change them the way you want. I was using silver lined Preciosa beads but you might choose something different. Using the beads of a smaller size you may decrease a size of a butterfly.
